Interview with Fairview, Texas, Mayor Dr. John Hubbard. Fairview is a small Texas town of about 11,500 people with a significant presence in North Texas. It's known for great schools, one of the best public schools in Texas, wooded lots, winding asphalt country roads, livestock, and big estate homes on large acreage. The restriction for most Fairview homes is a minimum of one acre, and many lots are larger than that. There are millions of square feet of retail in the town and right across the street in Allen, too. It's also at the intersection of two major thoroughfares, SH121 to DFW Airport and Frisco, and Hwy 75 or Central Expwy to Plano, and the Dallas Central Business. The town is a very prominent destination for people relocating to the area, however there are also some issues the town is dealing with that aren't so popular with the residents. I had a chance to get an update from the mayor on these issues.
