We live in a very busy world, so we are always very appreciative when a client takes the time to write a review for one of our agents.
Jason represented the buyer on this nice home. Although they really liked it, the inspector discovered one outstanding issue ... cast iron pipes were found under the home. Once homes start approaching 40-50 years of age, cast iron plumbing can start to corrode. That's why it isn't used anymore. The only viable solution was to dig underneath the home all the way to the sinks and drains and replace the cast iron with PVC.
By the way, they began using pvc rather than cast iron in the 1980s, but if your home was built before then, you might have cast iron plumbing. Whether it's leaking or not, and believe me, you'll know when it is, it's inevitable at some point in time it will start to break down, so be prepared. It can easily cost $30K to $40K to switch it all out.
As you might imagine, it wasn't an easy negotiation especially since the seller had just dropped the price too. But Jason got the deal done and did a great job of protecting his client, Below is their Google review ...
