One of Our Homes Sells and Three Go Into Title Over Memorial Day Weekend

We usually expect to see a little lull over Memorial Day Weekend with people pre-occupied with family events.  But that couldn't have been further from the truth this year.  We had over $8 million worth of homes either sell or go under contract, all in Lucas and Fairview.  We closed on one beautiful home ...

  • 719 Preakness in Lucas, listed at $2.395 Million.  Here's the LINK to this home

and three exceptional homes went into title ...

  • 650 Maple Creek in Fairview, listed at $2.875 Million - Here's the LINK to this home.
  • 410 Estelle in Lucas, listed at $1.279 Million - Here's the LINK to this home.
  • and 881 St. James Court in Fairview, listed at $1.55 Million - Here's the LINK to this home.

We discussed at our team meeting today that it seems every deal these days is tough to get close, and for different reasons.  Sometimes it's a repair, the buyer might lose some interest, it could be financing, or some other quirky reason.  Alice Robison's closing on 710 Preakness was the same.  The transaction completely fell apart when the buyer terminated the contract, but the seller and buyer reconsidered, and a couple of days later, they picked it up again.  The second time was a charm, and it closed without issues.  Alice Robison represented the seller on the transaction, and I believe her calm demeanor went a long way in holding it all together.

We're not "counting our chickens before they hatch" these days when a home goes to title, but we're hoping these transactions go smoothly.  We're representing the sellers on all of these homes.
