Snider Lane in far east Lucas, Texas is not well travelled, at least until just recently. It's been a quiet, two lane, asphalt country road a little off the beaten path. But it it represents a part of Lucas, many people who drive through don't even know exists. The part of Lucas one sees on the main roads bisecting it are laser level flat with relatively few trees. But as one drives further east towards Lake Lavon, the trees start appearing and you'll see some large undeveloped acreage. It's a little hard to believe, but from this road, it's only about a 15 minute drive from 3 million SF of retail, entertainment (like semi-pro hockey) and dining. It's what I call "close-in country". So, I'm going to take a drive down the road and explain some things about Lucas you might not know.
