What we love about our home:
“The neighbors on a cul-de-sac street that make it a safe and friendly street to live on. They are the kind of neighbors that pick up your mail or call you at work to let you know that you forgot to close your garage door – friendly and trustworthy. The tree-lined streets in the neighborhood that make walking late in the day during the summertime a pleasant experience as you’re in the shade most of the way. Also, when coming in off Stacy Road, you pass through these trees, helping you to wind down from being in traffic. Coming from the north on Meandering Way you pass homes with horses, longhorn cattle, and alpacas – feeling of in the country again, away from city life. You’re in the country but you have a pharmacy, dry cleaner, and several take-out restaurants right around the corner. Also, just drive another mile and you have a multitude of grocery, restaurant, and shopping options ranging from the Neighborhood Walmart to Whole Foods to Neiman Marcus’ Outlet across the freeway.”
- Located in wonderful Fairview Texas, a small town with a big presence!

Large family gatherings? This is the perfect home for you! With circular drive-up and great indoor and outdoor spaces, this home was made for entertaining. The River Oaks neighborhood in Fairview is truly lovely, set against a backdrop of established old growth trees, beautiful homes, and no HOA. The drive up to this traditional two story home is spectacular, and all within a few short miles of every imaginable amenity and easy commuting with quick access to 75 and 121. The home is situated to wrap around the substantial corner cul-de-sac lot with interesting offsets, angles, and setbacks. To mirror the elegance of its natural setting, the homes interior is dressed in a comforting palate of warm neutrals. Elements of wrought iron, rubbed antique bronze and mixed metals create an elegant and timeless feel. The natural stained wood cabinetry, soaring ceilings, and arched windows accentuate the home’s architectural details and impressive scale.
Upon entry through the stately solid wood door you’ll see a spacious and open home laid out before you. Light and bright flooring materials cover the expanse of the home and make a lovely contrast against the substantially trimmed out walls. Expansive windows flood rooms with natural light and permit views in all directions. The warm wood trimmed and wrought iron staircase makes an elegant and graceful sweeping curve from the entry. Spacious rooms, handsome trim details and a soft palette of warm neutrals make a warm and welcoming space.
On the right side of the large entry hall is the dining room with a bayed wall of windows overlooking the front yard. The room is generously proportioned for large dinner parties or intimate dinners in equally grand fashion. In the center of the space is a classic 6-arm chandelier in a warm vintage finish. A side opening leads to the kitchen and makes serving a breeze!
To your left is a large living room along the front of the home. Two sides open to the entry hall are defined by a dramatic column treatment. Balanced and beautiful, this stunning room has massive front facing windows flanking either side of a fireplace. The firebox is striking black granite and hearth, smartly trimmed with classic white side legs and mantel shelf. Along the back of the home is a hall with an atrium door to the patio area and gorgeous backyard. In this hall, with access between the family room, living room, and outdoor spaces, is a pass through bar area. This home is so well set up for entertaining!
The pass-through bar has bar top seating open to the hall and an atrium door to outside. Granite countertops and a bar sink make a wonderful space to serve guests. The stained full wood custom cabinetry and library and picture frame paneling all match adding a substantial, weighty elegance.
Continuing down the hall alongside the living room to a dramatic and impressive study. French doors open into a picture frame treated room with subtle deeper taupe wals, making a handsome statement. This room is serene and formal feeling. A wall of the wide windows with transoms above face the front yard. A closet in the room and a ¾ bath across the hall make this ideal as a study with a sleep sofa for impromptu guests that won’t stay TOO long.
The bath across the way has an atrium door for outdoor access, pedestal sink, closed cabinetry for towel storage and essentials and a tiled shower. Botanical print wallpaper lines the wall and is a lovely transition to the outdoors.
From the entry, or through the pass-through bar, enter the family room. The back wall is impressive with wide windows topped with transoms. The wall of floor to ceiling windows creates a light filled space with views to backyard. Along a side wall, a fireplace is beside built-in corner cabinetry to house entertainment equipment. The fireplace has a surround of random set Austin chop stone to the ceiling and a pleasing stained mantel shelf. The family room has surround sound for movie nights, and the blackout shades are automated and virtually invisible when not in use.
Entering the kitchen, the floor transitions from the carpeted floor of the family room back to a large-scale pattern in a light-colored tile. The tile is a light neutral mottled stone look and spans from the entry, through the dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, and laundry room. The richly stained cabinetry is a nice contrast against the lighter floor. The countertop is a dark granite and the backsplash is lighter to compliment the floor with accents of granite set on point. Cabinetry is all custom built and done in furniture finish, stained a medium brown and houses a high functioning appliance suite. The center island is large and a wonderful additional prep space. A corner set sink is a bright and cheery place to work with a raised ledge behind the double sink and corner treatment of windows and transoms. Panel faced appliances and the repetition of the transom combination makes for a very tailored look. Inclusive to the adjoining breakfast nook and living area, the kitchen has a wraparound raised bar area. It is a very well planned kitchen and workspace.
The breakfast room is at the end of the space a bit offset from the family room. Windows overlooking the backyard and patio are generous and the space feels very open and roomy. A hanging chandelier is centered over the table space.

The master bedroom is massive, with impressive double crown treatment and deep baseboards. There is plenty of natural light with a large skylight, a bayed wall of windows to the backyard, and an atrium door to a side sunporch enclosure. At the end of the room is a large sitting area for morning coffee or a reading chaise. The sunporch has slate tile floors and a pet door access to a separately fenced section of the yard.
On the opposite end of the entry is a large and well-appointed master bath with separate vanity areas, a deep jetted tub, and very large frameless shower. The warm earth tone neutrals of the master bath and the walls feel sundrenched. There is plenty of natural daylight in the space. The tub sits below a large window of distortion glass block for privacy. Custom cabinetry is handsomely finished in a deep chestnut stain and outfitted with full extension slide out drawers. Large vanity mirrors are framed in a substantial furniture finish frames. Vanities are topped in dark granite set with undermount sinks, and widespread faucets in satin nickel.

A hall from the kitchen and breakfast nook leads to the massive laundry room, a half bath, and the pristine 3 car garage. The laundry room is toward the front of the home. Tons of counterspace, a sink area, window, and room for full size refrigerator make a very pleasant space to get work done. A separate door keeps the busywork of this room quiet and contained.
Further down the hall is the homes half bath. Designer painted wall treatment of bold wide stripes makes a statement.
The hall continues to the extra deep three car garage. Motion sensor lights, epoxy painted floors, and a door to the backyard all add to the garage appeal. Plenty of space for cars and toys with taller bay doors to allow for larger sized vehicles.

These are three very generously proportioned bedrooms. Each of the bedrooms has big open windows for natural light, lighted ceiling fans, and generous closets.

The brick is continued for the rest of the surrounding exterior. The home is set deep off the street with a front entry guest drive up and a long side driveway to the 3-car garage.
