The Lakes of Fairview was a proposed 60 acre development with 41 lots near the intersection of Hart Rd and Country Club in Fairview, Tx. The developer was to be Steve Dinapoli, who has already developed two of Fairview’s most prestigious developments … Three Oaks and Oak Meadows.
The current zoning is 3 acres however the developer was trying to get a higher density of 1.5 acre zoning. It was planned to have multiple water features, ponds, waterfalls, fountains, bike trails, and streams running through it. In contrast, many developers will spend money to dress up the entrance but that’s where they stop. This would have been a gorgeous development where all of the homeowners could have enjoyed the setting.
But it wasn’t to be. The Fairview residents made it clear they did not want the development if it meant changing the zoning to 1.5 acres. The Fairview planning and zoning committee listened and voted unanimously against the project.
So what happens to that land now? I have no earthly idea, but can’t imagine any developer being able to develop it with 3 acre zoning unless the sellers dramatically drop their price. It might just remain just as it is for a long time to come.
