Many years ago when I made the jump from commercial real estate to residential, I was surprised at how agents said either they or their company was number one this, or number one that. It seemed like everyone was number one and I didn’t know who to believe.
I was so green, I didn’t even know the MLS keeps track of every agent and company production. When I found out, I made the decision to always back up any statement I made about our agent or company production with a report copied directly from the MLS. I’ve been doing that for over 10 years. I never want to be accused of “puffing”, but I found out it still exists out there.
Recently I was interviewing a brand new agent to join our KW Allen office. When I told her it was a real advantage joining us because we’re the top office in market share for both the Allen and Lovejoy ISD markets she kind of looked at me sarcastically and said “Every company I’ve talked to has told me the same thing”.
Oh well, here’s where we are to date in production both personally and also for our Keller Williams Allen office in the MLS area of Fairview, Lucas, and Lovejoy ISD. Year to date, I’m right at $40 million sold in the Lovejoy ISD area of the MLS. I never represent both buyer and seller on the same transaction so I only get half credit on the properties I sell. I’ll explain why we do that in a later posting. Our KW Allen office also has more market share by a large amount over the other offices.
We know the Fairview, Lucas, and Lovejoy ISD area intimately and protect our clients from making bad real estate decisions. If you’re considering buying or selling a home here, we’d love to talk to you!
