What makes Seis Lagos such a special family community?

There is no single answer to this question!  I would bet if you asked this question to ten different Seis Lagos residents you would get ten different opinions.  Some might say it is the security of living in a guarded, controlled access community By 2007, "Captain" Redwine, the senior guard, has been with Seis Lagos for 23 years.  You will also see David Haddox, who has been with Seis Lagos for 6 years.  They know all the neighbors and they all know him.

Others might tell you they love Seis Lagos because it is a great place to raise kids.  With the two pools, clubhouse, four lighted tennis courts, and several stocked lakes (Seis Lagos means "six lakes") to fish or boat in, there is plenty to do.   But some will tell you that they like being able to take walks, jog, or ride their bikes through the wooded and hilly neighborhoods.   It is a place where your neighbors still wave to you.  Kids can lay their bikes down without worrying about them being stolen.  Parents know where their kids are.

Some might tell you they the appeal of Seis Lagos is the benefits of a strong neighborhood homeowners' association which protects everyone's property values.  Without question, some will tell you they enjoy the open, airy feeling of the neighborhood.  If you like to look up and see the stars in the night sky, this is the place to be.  Lake Lavon is just to the east, so the sky is pitch black at night in that direction.  And some people enjoy being able to board their horse at the Equestrian Center next door and take it for a walk along the 9 mile Trinity Trail riding trail.  If boating or fishing is a passion, they can be on Lake Lavon within five minutes.

If you are a horse lover, you can keep yours at the North Texas Equestrian Center located right next door.  There is no affiliation between Seis Lagos and the NTEC, but you could walk to it from the development.  Currently, the barn can accommodate 100 horses, within 4 barns. The barns each face a covered arena, that is protected from the outdoor elements. Additionally, there a second covered arena, an outdoor dressage ring, a round pen, as well as an outdoor jumping arena. During the winter months and during poor weather conditions, jumping may be held within the covered arena. There is also outside paddock turnout for the horses and trail and cross country riders will fall in love with the access to 185 acres of lush riding pasture that nests up to Lake Lavon and its 9 mile riding trail.

What else is unique to Seis Lagos?  The residents of this subdivision have complete control over their quality of their life.  The subdivision controls the water, sewer, and roads.   When new streets were needed years ago, the residents made the commitment to tear out the old asphalt streets and install long lasting concrete roads.  When they saw a need coming for more water, they built a raised water tower.  The subdivision even has its' own sewer system (monitored by the North Texas Municipal Water District).  If there ever was a "Can Do, Take Charge" community, this is it.

And what about the schools?  Seis Lagos is fortunate to be served by two excellent school systems, Lovejoy ISD (which feeds into Allen ISD) and Wylie ISD (site to follow).   This subdivision really does feel like a older times when kids ran free without parents worrying about them, the neighbors all knew each other and genuinely cared for each other.  If the Grisak family could find a way to get their 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 horses onto a lot in Seis Lagos, we would have moved there long ago!  You will not find another subdivision like it!
