Lovejoy High School is scheduled to open in
August, 2006 for students that will be entering grades 6, 7, 8 and 9.
This will be the beginning of a transition process that will return
students from Allen ISD to Lovejoy ISD by the 2009-10 school year as
follows:

- Lovejoy ISD students currently (2003-04 school year) in 6th grade will
attend Allen ISD schools for 7th and 8th grades, and
then will return to Lovejoy ISD for grades 9-12.  This class will be
Lovejoy High School's first graduating class in 2010.

- Lovejoy ISD students currently (2003-2004) in 5th grade will attend Allen ISD
schools for 7th grade, and then will return to Lovejoy ISD for
grades 8-12.

The 2003-2004 5th & 6th graders will transition from Allen ISD to
Lovejoy ISD.  This is the same for any student residing within the Lovejoy ISD
boundaries (Lucas, Fairview, some of Allen, etc.).

- Lovejoy ISD students currently (2003-2004) in 4th grade or below will always attend

Lovejoy ISD schools.
