What's all the buzz about Lovejoy? You've come to the right place to find out! Tom Grisak has personally led Lovejoy ISD sales for 7 consecutive years! We welcome you and will share with you why this area is special to us and can also be to you! And if you need help in buying or selling a home in Lovejoy ISD, there is no better place to start than the proven leader for the area!
Why is Lovejoy A Special Place To Live?
The Size Of the Towns Lovejoy ISD (which is considered its own area of the Multiple Listing Service) is comprised entirely of Lucas and Fairview and a small portion of Allen. Keep in mind that not all of Lucas and Fairview are in Lovejoy ISD, so if that is important to you, before you buy your home, you had better be working with a Realtor who understands this area. Here is a location map. At the time of this writing (March, 2007) both Lucas and Fairview each have about 5,000 people, TOTAL. There is a small portion of the city of Allen which also attends Lovejoy ISD, but that's it. The towns will grow and we have seen a huge surge in construction, but keep in mind, unless sewer is brought in (and it is my hope that we don't allow it at least until we are almost completely developed) no home can be on less than one acre. This ensures us of reasonable and manageable growth, but bring sewer in, and all bets are off. Here is an article I wrote on this subject. No High Density Residential Within The District I will probably take some arrows for this line of reasoning, nor is it politically correct to say, but I have always had a habit (maybe a bad habit) of calling it like I see it. Even though I am a Realtor, I have a right to my opinion, and besides, I will never run for office :-) I come from a family of teachers, so education has always been important to me. Many, many years ago, I watched my alma mater, and of the finest school districts in the Dallas area (Richardson ISD) steadily decline. No-one will ever convince me that was not caused by the huge influx of apartments and the highly transient residents they attract. Fairview and Lucas (the two towns that comprise the bulk of Lovejoy ISD) along with the small area of Allen which is in Lovejoy ISD, do not have apartments, and it is my hope that we never will. Believe it or not, it all comes down to sewer. If you missed the reference to the article in the section above, here is the link. Schools Lovejoy ISD has been an all exemplary district for as long as I can remember. They did it again in 2007, so they have figured out how to get the job done! Lovejoy ISD started out as the four classroom "Little Red School House" built in 1917 and now serving as our administration building. From those humble beginnings Lovejoy has evolved into Lovejoy Elementary, Hart Elementary, and our new Lovejoy high school and temporary middle school. But it's not the bricks and mortar that make these schools special. It is everyone from teachers to staff that makes it a wonderful learning environment. You still have a little of that small town feeling, but we can compete with any district in the state. The original Lovejoy Elementary has held the highest Texas Education Association rating possible (exemplary) for as long as anyone can remember. That carried right over to Hart Elementary when the school was opened and it has retained that designation every since. There is a tremendous demand for excellence. Just go to any PTA meeting or special function and try to find a parking space. It is this commitment from the community to stand behind the schools that helps make this happen. Like it or not, right or wrong, the schools with the best ratings are almost always where the money is. And there is a lot of money in this school district. We have the best of both worlds, a small population with virtually no crime, a semi-country feeling, and the money to support a phenomenal school district. We are all very proud of our school district and area. Although Small By Size, We Are Not Isolated Try to find any other two towns ...
As stated above, we have it all. You can be feeding your horse one minute and 10 minutes later sipping a latte at one of the two (soon to be three) Starbucks in Allen. And finally, beautiful homes and land I'll let the pictures below do the talking in this section
