August 2006, we will launch our own secondary program when we open our doors with approximately 800 students in grades 6-9. Initially, both schools will be housed in the new high school facility (90 percent completed) at 2350 Estates Parkway, Lucas. Each subsequent year, the high school will grow one grade. In August 2008, grades 6-8 will move to a separate middle school building.

While Lovejoy students have a long tradition of academic successes, they also have enjoyed an equally strong participation rate in athletics and fine arts. Traditionally, our students have been among the leaders in extra- and co-curricular activities at Allen High School. We anticipate that within a short time Lovejoy High School will be highly competitive in all University Interscholastic League arenas.

The building of the secondary program of excellence is a unique opportunity of building a program from scratch and making history each step along the way.
