OK, I admit, Dallas doesn't have the oceans and beaches of California, the mountains of Colorado, or the streams and rivers of Arkansas, so we just just have to make do with what we have.  For those of you new to the area, you might enjoy some of these short day trips.  It's fun to get out of dodge every once in a while, even if it is just for a day.  Here are some of our favorite short day trips.  I will be adding to this section as time permits.
