Wonderful blend of the old ...

Eaton Court Salon, a converted home on McDermott.

Allen has made a commitment to their tree lined thoroughfares.  This is just one of them.

The renovated Allen Train Station.  The line has been abandoned, but the old train station is still in use by the city for various functions.

This was the original main street in Allen and is called by the same name.  When McDermott was widened, 90 percent of the traffic went there.  McDermott is about two blocks over to the left.  That is where all the new fast food restaurants and large stores are located.  I have always been very fond of old Main Street.  It still has that "Mayberry" feeling to me.  The original buildings are slowly being renovated and Allen is doing their part to maintain the historical values of the area.

What would any mid-sized city be without a Home Depot ...

... a Target,

... or a Staples, Petco, Hobby Lobby, or Tom Thumb?

This Hallmark Gift Store is located at the point where McDermott (six lane divided) and Main Street (shown above), diverge.  90% of the traffic goes to the left here towards the superstores, fast food restaurants, and Central Expressway (Hwy 75).  Like our business plan in general, we chose "the path less taken" and located our offices to the right up a shady, tree-lined avenue.

Celebration Station, one of Allen's large baseball parks.

One of the park lakes in Allen.  You will find Allen to be very "park friendly".  There are lots of soccer, baseball and football fields, along with walking and bike trails.

The Allen Skate and Bike park is a testament to Allen's big visions.  Click here to see more pictures of it.

The Natatorium is for public use.  It has a huge, indoor water park, lazy river, lap lanes, workout center overlooking the pool, and locker rooms.

Presbyterian Hospital of Allen continues the Presbyterian tradition of quality health care.  We had always used the "Presby" in Dallas until this new hospital came in.  This is where we go now.

Allen Drive was recently widened, but notice how the city landscaped the street and added brick pavers to break the monotony of a wide ribbon of concrete.
